Volunteer applications are now being accepted for our exciting 2018 race on July 6, 7, 8! Road marshals, host housing, and set-up team members are required for each race day. Consider helping on a single day, two days or even all three. We cannot do it without your assistance. All volunteers are invited to our traditional volunteer appreciation BBQ on the Wednesday evening prior to the race where you have the opportunity to meet some world-class cyclists.

Why volunteer for Tour de Delta? Here’s what some of our volunteers have to say:
“Being part of a large event such as Tour De Delta is fun. Meeting kind people and knowing that the event couldn’t happen without the many volunteers is both heartwarming and gratifying. Hearing the positive feedback from the volunteers, the spectators and the racers is what keeps me coming back each year. Wearing the cool event t-shirt long after the event is over keeps the good memories alive.” – Paul Biedermann
“Why do the same people come back to marshal for the Road Race year after year? Could it be the donuts and coffee at 7:30? The restful day sitting in the sun? The excitement of the race itself, and the tail wind the peloton leaves in its wake to cool you off? Or the beer garden after? No, I think it is the camaraderie and good feeling of a job well done. Oh, and the big sandwiches that always arrive just in the nick of time! But whatever, they keep coming back, year after year! So will you!” – Murray Lott
“2015 was the first year I volunteered at the Tour de Delta. I was so impressed by how well the event was organized, the wonderful group of volunteers I worked with, and the calibre of the athletes that I will definitely be back to volunteer in 2016. The overall experience from registration, the choice of duties, the volunteer appreciation dinner, and the races themselves was interesting, exciting, fun, and it made me feel proud to be part of it. If you have been thinking about volunteering and don’t know where to start – try the Tour de Delta – you will not be disappointed!” – Christine Badali
